fun September 4, 2010 Atticus Bailey (Patchogue, NY USA) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Once you get a feel for the controls this game is a blast. Personally i turn off the auto play calling, and i dont use the accelerated clock. SO far this game is a lot of fun.
This Madden Sucks September 3, 2010 Anthony A. Finney (Wills Point , Tx USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've been playing madden for over 20 years and this is by far the worst madded i've played to date. I think this will be my last madden i purchase for a long time. so if u never played it before it might be ok to u, but if u are hardcore madden u will hate it without a doubt. the best madden was the xbox version before they came out with the 360. save your money!
Just for NHL 11 August 31, 2010 NYGIANTFAN (Germany) Madden 11 is OK.Cant say better than 10,didnt get it last year.I decided to skip a year with Madden, like EA should do,and come out with Madden 13 in two years. Its about the same as Madden 09,with a few less features. If Madden was like MLB 10 The Show, then it would be the bomb.Hey,I just bought Madden to get the 20$ off to buy NHL 11,the real EA game to get.If NHL 11 is as good as NHL 10,thats the game we should be waiting for every year.Madden, take next year off, provide roster update, and not for 60$,and lets wait for 2K to get back into making football games.
Awful August 28, 2010 James Pitman Hesterly III (Lafayette, LA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Watered down, terrible game. Worth $20 at most. The same Madden, only with less features. I miss the icons for speed players, great hands, etc. Please don't make the mistake (like I did) to support this declining franchise.
Very shallow August 26, 2010 Mark Jwain (Kansas City, MO USA) 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
Most everyone has played a game in the Madden series. That's exactly the problem with Madden 11: If you've played Madden in the last 5 years, you've played this one.
Graphically and in terms of gameplay, very little has changed in several years. Of course, a new feature or two is introduced each time around, but it's essentially the same game with a roster update. It feels as though EA is pushing everyone to online play, and forsaking all else.
Franchise and Be A Superstar modes are very shallow. In fact, they are even more shallow than they once were. There's very little fun to be had in Be A Superstar when you can't choose your team, you're locked into multiple seasons with the team that drafts you, and there's zero depth beyond playing the games.
I don't think I will be purchasing Madden in the future - I owned Madden 11 for 2-3 days before trading it in. That was all the time it took for me to be "done" with it.
